The search function will attempt to find closest matches. Select the correct organization.

CRA search will search by keyword, so you don’t need to know the full or official organization name to use CRA search. However, when the application initially runs, it will fill in the search name with what’s in the Constituent Name field. You can change it, though, if you are not seeing the results you need.

For example, if the only thing you know is that the organization has the word “society” in it, you can type that word and it will bring up all instances of “society” in the CRA.

Once you find the organization, select it, and click Yes.

Step 3: GOverify Runs

After you select the organization, the CRA search will grab the business number, put it in the Tax ID field, and run GOverify. A GOverify record will be created.
