adding hidden system views

In some cases, System Views can be “hidden” from your front-facing environment. This guide will show the steps needed to allow these System Views to be seen by all users. These steps need to be done by a Power Apps user.

OPENING THE APP DESIGNER

To access the hidden System views, you will need to open the App Designer. The designer is based in Power Apps, but can be more quickly accessed by the following steps :

  • Click on the name of the application you are currently in (either akoyaGO with Accounting or akoyaGO)
  • Click the 3 dots in the corner of the associated application tile
  • Select “Open in App Designer”

A new tab will open; If the below message pops up, click “Cancel” to continue. This will not affect your environment.

FINDING AND ADDING HIDDEN VIEWS

Once you select an entity, you will see a list of the Views that are currently in your akoyaGO application, and those that are not.

(Note: You also have the option to Add all views back to the akoyaGO application, specific to the entity you have selected. To do so, toggle on the option in the lower right corner.)

Once you see the view(s) have been added to the “In this App” list, be sure to click the Save button, followed by the Publish button.

CONFIRMING THE ADDED VIEW(S)

After ensuring that the changes made have been saved and published, you can safely close the Power Apps tab.

Returning to the front-facing akoyaGO environment, “hard refresh” your browser window twice. If done successfully, the view(s) you added should now be available.
