akoyaGO

  • Bug Fixes
    • We have fixed a bug in which the Add to Review Group button on the Request was duplicated.
    • We have fixed a bug in which users were receiving API errors when attempting to approve change requests from GOfund/GOapply.
    • We have fixed a bug in which the +Add Pending Requests button was missing from the toolbar on Review Group records.
  • Enhancements
    • The following columns have been added to the Requested Scholarship associated view on Scholarship records: Awarded Amount (from Requested Scholarship), Request Status (from related Request), GOapply Application/Opportunity (from Related Request), GOapply Phase (from Related Request). This enhancement was made to aid with adding Scholarships to GOapply Review Groups.
    • We have hidden Account and Payment Sent fields from the Request Payment form as they are not needed for organizations that do not have Accounts set up in their CRM.

akoyaGO with Accounting

  • Bug Fixes
    • General (affects all workspaces)
      • We have fixed a bug in which users were receiving API errors when attempting to approve change requests from GOfund/GOapply.
      • We have fixed a bug in which the Add to Mailing List toolbar button was duplicated on Constituent records.
    • Grants Management
      • We have fixed a bug in which, when approving a Request, the Decision Date was populating as the following day rather than the current day because the field was using UTC time rather than the user’s time zone.
      • We have fixed a bug in which users were seeing vendor ledger entry errors when voiding a previously adjusted payment.
      • The process “Auto-Create Request Payment when Approved” has been deprecated. We have improved the request approval process via plug-in so this process is no longer necessary.
      • We have fixed a bug in which, when adjusting a Request Payment, the reversal amount was updating to the adjusted amount, causing Reversal Amount & Net Amount on the Payment and the Paid/Balance fields on Request to be incorrect.
      • The Account field will now immediately lock on send to accounting to prevent data corruption.
    • Donor Management
      • We have fixed a bug in which amount validation (to ensure payment amount does not exceed gift amount) was looking to the Amount field rather than the Net Amount field. This did not consider voided payments. So that if a new payment was added to a Gift with a previously voided payment, users were warned that the amount exceeded the Gift Amount. This validation will now consider Net Amount.
      • We have fixed a bug in which gift payment adjustments were setting previously deposited gift payments as payment status Received rather than Deposited.
      • The Account field will now immediately lock on send to accounting to prevent data corruption.
  • Enhancements
    • Grants Management
      • The following columns have been added to the Requested Scholarship associated view on Scholarship records: Awarded Amount (from Requested Scholarship), Request Status (from related Request), GOapply Application/Opportunity (from Related Request), GOapply Phase (from Related Request). This enhancement was made to aid with adding Scholarships to GOapply Review Groups.
      • Request Payment: A new field has been added called Alternate Payee. This is a Boolean (yes/no) field that will be set to Yes if the Payee is different from the Applicant. This field allows users to build views that list payments where the Applicant differs from the Payee.
      • The Promote Concept to Request workflow will now fill in Request Type as Grant since it is a required field on Request.
      • We have added the filter of Status = Active to the system view Request Payments to Send to Accounting to prevent inactive records from being displayed.
    • Donor Management
      • Gift Payment: A new field has been added called Alternate Payor. This is a Boolean (yes/no) field that will be set to Yes if the Payor is different from the Donor. This field allows users to build views that list payments where the Donor differs from the Payor.
      • The Memorial Contact and Memorial Note Sent fields on Gift have been renamed to Notification Contact and Notification Sent respectively.
      • We have enhanced the logic surrounding reversals of pledges to prevent data corruption. In the case that a pledge payment was reversed after send to accounting (Payment Status is Posted) and before receiving the pledge, the record will display an error if the user tries to advance the business process flow.
      • akoyaGO is now leveraging the Gift Payment Quick Create form so that gift payments can be quickly and easily added to Gifts.
    • Fund Management
      • Gift Fee: The default views on the Income and Expense Account selector fields have been set to revenue and expense accounts, respectively, to help users choose the correct type of account. Users can still choose non-revenue accounts if needed.
  • New Features
    • Donor Management
      • Donor Merge Tool: akoyaGO has built a tool for merging donors and their related records. Simply click the Merge button on any donor view once two donors of the same type and same Primary Contact/Donor Constituent are selected.

Business Central

  • Bug Fixes
    • We have fixed a bug in which users were receiving errors when running a new JIA batch.
    • We have fixed a bug in which the Undo Deposit function was not writing back to previously adjusted Gift Payment records in CRM in cases where the Adjustment record (new gift payment) needed to be Voided. Undo Deposit will now write back to the Payment Status and change it from Deposited to Received, that way, the payment can be voided using the CRM process.
    • We have corrected bug where checking "Hide Compare Value" option on the fund statement format was not successfully removing the $0 rows.
    • We have enhanced our record coupling processes to reduce the number of coupling errors experienced by users during the Send to Accounting process. If CRM Vendors/Customers become uncoupled from their Business Central records, the Send to Accounting process will attempt to re-couple the records automatically if the record id number and name value match. If the values do not match, the user will receive an error and a manual recoupling will need to be done.
    • We have corrected a bug in the fund statement where rows of type "detail" netting to zero (such as voided payments) were not being redacted from the statement.
    • We have corrected a bug where reversing a deposit for gift payments whose funds were adjusted after the initial deposit resulted in an undeposited funds balance in the incorrect fund.
    • We have corrected bug where checking "Hide Compare Value" option on the fund statement format was not successfully removing the $0 rows.
  • Enhancements
    • The Suggest Vendor Payments function of the Post Payments journal will now withhold payments where the Payee is not a verified nonprofit or has not been checked by GOverify in more than 30 days. This does not include payees where GOverify Exempt = Yes. Business Central will alert users when payments are being withheld for this reason and give the user an opportunity to see the withheld payments.
  • New Features
    • Redo Deposit: We have added a Redo Deposit option on Bank Deposit forms. This function allows users to repost previously reversed deposits by filtering G/L entries and locating the original G/L entries that were transferred to deposit and are currently in undeposited funds.

GOapply

  • Bug Fixes
    • We have fixed a bug in which the DRAFT watermark on downloaded in-progress application PDFs was obscuring the text on the page. The DRAFT watermark is now transparent.
    • We have fixed a bug in which the GOapply Settings record was not populating on created Requests. This was an issue for organizations utilizing multiple GOapply sites with different Foundation Contacts as email workflows were not being triggered.
    • We have fixed a bug in which, on submit of a final reporting phase, a payment was being created in addition to a requirement. This resulted in errors for the GOapply user as the CRM was checking for the payee to be a verified nonprofit, but the payee field was empty. On submit of final reporting phases, only a requirement will be created.
    • We have fixed a bug in which the GOapply Contact was not receiving applicant approval emails.
    • We have improved our sanitization of responses mapped to multi-line and single-line text fields (Project Description, for example) to prevent submission errors.
    • We have fixed a bug in which all the question titles in a panel were hidden when Hide Title on a panel was selected, which hides only the title of the panel.
    • We have fixed a bug in which newly registered users were not receiving the email verification request.
    • We have fixed a bug in which advancing to subsequent phases was creating duplicate Status Tracking Records.
    • We have fixed a bug in which the Current Phase Status was not being set on Status Tracking records that were created from the Advance to Next Phase button. This resulted in applicants not being able to access the phases as phases are only visible once their status is Not Started or In Progress.
    • GOapply Reviewer bug fixes:
      • We have fixed a bug in which the reviewer form was scrolling to the bottom of the page when the user clicked a dropdown question.
      • akoyaGO without accounting: We have fixed a bug in which the +Add Pending Requests button was missing from the toolbar on Review Group records.
  • Enhancements
    • Scholarship Automatch: A new setting was added to GOapply Settings called Automatic Opt-In. This setting is only visible when Automatch Enabled = Yes. This setting removes the applicant’s ability to opt out of scholarships, they are automatically opted in for all that they are qualified for. When Automatic Opt-In = Yes, the Max. Scholarship Opt Ins field will be hidden as the two fields contradict one another.
    • GOapply Opportunity and GOapply Phase are now “searchable” fields. This means that, in fields that look up to GOapply Opportunity or GOapply Phase, you can search for them by name rather than by record number. This makes it much easier to fill in look up fields on forms.
    • For manually entered organization registrants, we have added Department to the form. This field looks at the Department field on CRM Constituents and takes it into consideration when creating new Constituents. If the manually entered Department doesn’t match any existing Constituent records (regardless of whether name and tax ID match), a new record will be created.
    • A Site Settings field (column) has been added to the Add GOapply Users table. This is an optional field to indicate a specific GOapply Site the new user will be directed to for registration. If left blank, the new user will be directed to the oldest active GOapply Site for registration.
    • We have updated the CRM behavior when GOapply users update their contact information in the Organization Profile. Going forward, updates to the first name, last name, and email address fields will result in a new Contact record being created in the CRM. Org profile changes are still subject to change request approval, if applicable.
    • The phase subgrid in GOapply Opportunity records will now list phases in phase order.
    • GOapply Reviewer enhancements:
      • GOapply Reviewer now utilizes inline document viewing. This means that reviewers no longer have to download attachments to see them. The attachments will be held in a separate tab and can be viewed in the same area where the submission PDF is viewed.
      • A new field has been added to Review Groups to capture Scholarship. When this field contains data, the Add Pending Requests function will look for Requested Scholarship records for that specific scholarship and the supplemental scholarship application will be displayed as an attachment (in line viewer) if applicable.
  • New Features
    • Simple Form Builder: Starting on August 29th, 2025, all new GOapply forms will render in a new interface called Simple Form Builder. The principal feature of this new form builder is that manual mapping is no longer required. All fields on Request (including custom) and panels are available for selection with the mapping already done. Form and field properties have also been significantly simplified.
    • Manual scholarship automatch: CRM Requests now contain an Automatch button which will look at the associated GOapply Status Tracking record and match the request with scholarships that it qualifies for by way of creating Requested Scholarship records. This is a great option for organizations that do not want to display the scholarship options to their applicants.

GOfund

  • Bug Fixes
    • We have fixed a bug in which columns on the Recent Grant Recommendations view on the GOfund Logs were not displaying data.
    • We have fixed a bug in which GOfund connections (Donor Portal Access) were not displayed when looking at connections on a Contact record.
    • We have fixed a bug in which grant recommendation submission confirmation emails were not pulling in information from the Request.
  • Enhancements
    • GOfund users who make a donation through the GOfund site will now receive an email confirmation.
    • Interfund Grant Recommendations will now map to an Interfund Grant record rather than just a Request record. This process will now create an Interfund Grant record rather than a Request; Request and Gift will be created on processing, like normal.
    • GOfund Spendable will now exclude all pending Requests, not just pending GOfund Requests, so that the amount available to spend is not overstated in GOfund.
    • Funding Opportunities: The Recommend a Grant button will be displayed whether or not the user has a fund selected. When no fund is selected and the user clicks Recommend a Grant, a list of funds where the user has recommend a grant permissions will drop down that they can choose from.
    • We have enhanced the organization search functionality in the recommend a grant form. Enhancements include displaying the +Add new organization button more prominently and displaying it even when the user’s search returns results.
    • The following new settings have been added to GOfund Settings.
      • Enable Recommended Payment Date: This Boolean field in the Recommend a Grant form section controls whether users are able to recommend a grant to be disbursed on a specific date or not. The default value (when null) for this field is on/Yes.
      • Require Purpose of Grant on Interfund: When this setting is off/No, Purpose on the Interfund Recommend a Grant form will not be required.
      • The settings Enable Create New Organization and Enable IRS/CRA search have been disassociated. Before this update, the two settings (IRS/CRA search respectively) were linked so that if the IRS/CRA Search was on, the create new organization setting also had to be on. Now, users can, for example, create a new constituent via the IRS/CRA search but not be able to manually create an organization.
      • Link to GOdonate: when on/Yes, this setting will enable the user to access GOdonate via the Give to Another Fund menu option.
      • Enable Designated Giving: This setting pertains to organizations who have donations through GOfund enabled. This setting allows you to restrict users from giving gifts with a designated purpose through GOfund.
      • Enable Recurring Donations: This setting pertains to organizations who have donations through GOfund enabled. This setting, when on/Yes, allows users to give recurring gifts through GOfund.
      • Disable Automated Confirmation Email: This setting allows GOfund Admins to disable the auto-generated templated emails so you can utilize custom email workflows.
  • New Features
    • GOfund Customizable Grant Recommendation form: GOfund settings is now outfitted with a Form Editor wherein GOfund Admins can create a custom grant recommendation form using fields from Request (including custom fields).
    • GOfund is now capable of displaying data visualizations and summaries based on Dynamics 365 charts. System charts based on Funds, Requests/Payments or Gifts/Payments can be selected for display within GOfund Settings. Users will see the data relevant to their selected fund(s) and can modify the date range for the data presented.
